Open Heaven October
40 Days of Fasting for God's Will and Kingdom on Earth
"Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."— Matthew 6:10
The Vision
An Open Heaven Unlike Any Generation Has Seen
There are moments in history when heaven bends low — when the veil between the seen and unseen grows thin, and God moves in ways that reshape generations. We believe we are standing at the edge of one of those moments.
Open Heaven October is a 40-day corporate fast — a unified cry from believers across the earth that God's will would be done here, that His kingdom would come in power, and that this generation would witness an open heaven unlike anything recorded before.
This is not a program. This is a posture. Forty days of surrender, prayer, and fasting — believing that when God's people humble themselves, heaven responds.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."— 2 Chronicles 7:14
What Is an Open Heaven?
When God Is Seen and Felt
An open heaven is not a metaphor — it is a biblical reality. It is the condition in which God's presence, power, and will flow unhindered from heaven to earth.
Genesis 28:12
Heaven Touching Earth
Jacob saw a ladder stretching from earth to heaven with angels ascending and descending. An open heaven is the place where the natural and supernatural meet — where God's reality becomes tangible in ours.
Isaiah 64:1
The Cry of Every Generation
Isaiah cried out, 'Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down!' This has been the longing of every generation that truly knew God. We are adding our voice to that cry.
Acts 2:1–4
Heaven Poured Out
On the day of Pentecost, heaven opened and the Spirit was poured out on all flesh. What God did then, He can do again — and we believe He is ready to move in even greater measure.
Revelation 4:1
A Door Standing Open
John saw a door standing open in heaven. That door has never been closed. Through prayer, fasting, and faith, we position ourselves to see and receive what heaven is already releasing.
How to Participate
40 Days. One Cry. Together.
This fast is for every believer — whether you are new to fasting or have fasted for years. There is a place for you in this movement.
Daniel 1:12
Daniel Fast
Fruits, vegetables, and water only
The Daniel Fast (Daniel 1 & 10) is a partial fast focused on whole, plant-based foods. It is a powerful way to deny the flesh and sharpen your spiritual sensitivity for the full 40 days.
Nehemiah 1:4
Sunrise to Sunset
No food from dawn to dusk
A daily intermittent fast from sunrise to sunset — eating only after the sun goes down. Each day becomes a rhythm of hunger, prayer, and evening gratitude as God meets you in the discipline.
Psalm 46:10
Media & Distraction Fast
Silence the noise, amplify the signal
Fast from social media, entertainment, and digital noise for 40 days. Replace those hours with prayer, Scripture, and listening. Sometimes the greatest barrier to an open heaven is a cluttered mind.
Esther 4:16
Full Fast
Water only — seek God's guidance first
A complete fast from all food, sustained by water and the Holy Spirit. This is the most intense form of fasting and should be entered with prayer, preparation, and medical wisdom.
What to Fast From
Every Sacrifice Creates Space
Fasting is not only about food. It is about removing anything that competes with God's voice in your life. Here are areas to prayerfully consider surrendering for 40 days.
Food
Media & Entertainment
Shopping & Spending
Habits & Comforts
You don't have to fast everything. Choose what God is calling you to surrender. One sincere sacrifice offered in faith moves more than a hundred reluctant ones.
How to Prepare
Don't Start October 1st Unprepared
The 40 days are only as powerful as the preparation behind them. The weeks before the fast are just as sacred as the fast itself.
Decide What You're Fasting
Pray and ask God what He is calling you to lay down for 40 days. Don't fast what is easy — fast what costs you something. Write it down and make it a covenant before God.
Prepare Your Body
If you are fasting food, begin reducing sugar, caffeine, and processed foods in the week before October 1st. A sudden change can cause headaches and fatigue that distract from prayer. Ease in.
Set Your Prayer Times
Decide when you will pray each day — morning, midday, evening. Block it in your calendar like an appointment. The enemy will fill every unscheduled hour. Guard your time with God.
Tell Someone
Find a fasting partner — a friend, spouse, or community member who will fast alongside you. Accountability is not weakness; it is wisdom. Two are better than one when the fast gets hard.
Clear the Clutter
Remove the things you are fasting from before the fast begins. Delete the apps. Clear the pantry. Cancel the subscriptions. Don't leave temptation within arm's reach and expect willpower to win.
Set Your Intention Before God
This fast is not a diet or a detox — it is a cry. Before October 1st, spend time in prayer declaring why you are fasting. Tell God what you are believing for. Anchor the fast in purpose.
